The brief for this exceptional site was a regeneration scheme focused on a foodstore; new retail space; leisure uses, car parking and residential units. The 15 hectare site has a magnificent seaside aspect, but is at present a derelict caravan park and partly used as the town car park site.
Our scheme seeks a two phase complete redevelopment by the provision of a major regeneration scheme centred on a new 32,000 ft2 supermarket; an 800 space public car park; 80,000 ft2 of retail space; 20,000 ft2 of ancillary commercial space and 650 residential units. The scheme will extend the existing town centre for Porthcawl which has long lived in the shadow of Cardiff and yet benefits from a beautiful coastline and excellent local facilities.
